How do I have a criminal history record sealed or expunged in Florida?
Florida Statutes, Sections 943.0585 and 943.059, outline the rules and eligibility requirements to have an adult criminal history record sealed or expunged. They also state that to have your criminal history record sealed or expunge in the State of Florida, a person has to first apply for a Certificate of Eligibility from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). Getting a Certificate of Eligibility is only the first step - getting one does not mean a criminal history record has been ordered sealed or expunged. It only means you are eligible according to Florida Statutes. You can find out what you qualify for and what you have to do by going through our qualification form.
