How long does it take to process my FDLE Application?

If you qualify to seal or expunge your criminal record, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) tries to take no more than 90 days from receipt to process the application and mail back a response. However, as of the end of January 2017, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) was still processing applications from July 2016, so they don't always make their target.

It is important to note that if the application is not complete at the time of submission, the application will end being returned to you, not only pausing the timeline, but stopping it altogether. From that point, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) cannot give you a proper timeframe.
