After hearing their constituents' voices loud and clear, the Missouri State Legislature makes the necessary moves to expand their criminal record expungement law. With the support of citizens and prosecutors alike, non-violent low-misdemeanors will potentially qualify to be expunged.

Missouri legislators have tried to make some moves towards changing expungement laws, but haven't had much success. While many want to expand the legislation to include a large number of other charges, nothing will ever go through without public support - because the political will is weak.

Missouri is one of the more restrictive states when it comes to expunging criminal records. They allow you to expunge convictions, but the list is only 12 charges long. It also has a unique quirk in that you can expunge as many charges as qualify, but you can only do it once per court in your entire life.
