How it works, and what it costs
Three steps. You stay in control at every one — nothing is filed until you say so.
Step 1
Check your eligibility
Answer a short set of questions about your record. You get a plain-language read on whether you qualify.
Step 2
We prepare your forms
Expeal fills out your Florida petition and the supporting paperwork, matched to your county.
Step 3
You file with the court
You review everything, sign, and submit. We show you exactly where and how to file.
Free to check. Paid to file. Florida pricing: $99 for Expeal, plus the state and county fees itemized on the pricing page. See what it costs →
Common questions
Eligibility
Do I qualify to clear my record in Florida?
Florida's court-ordered options usually cover a record that was never adjudicated guilty. Your history matters too. You need no open case, no disqualifying conviction, and no unpaid court-ordered amounts. The check walks you through the same questions the application asks. It takes a few minutes.
Pricing
What does it cost?
You pay one flat Expeal fee for the document preparation. You also pay the government fees Florida charges every applicant. The pricing page shows every figure with its source — including your own county's filing fee.
Timeline
How long does the FDLE certificate take?
FDLE says processing usually takes 12 weeks. The clock starts when your completed application packet arrives. The court's own calendar adds time after you file the petition.
Process
What does Expeal actually do?
We prepare the documents. In the application's own words: we'll create all the necessary documents and send them to you, and you'll handle the filing yourself. We do not give legal advice. We do not represent you in court.
Privacy & Security
Do you store my answers?
No. The check runs entirely in your browser. We do not receive or store your answers. Your result lives only in the page address, so you can bookmark or print it.
